Raider…

We got word last night that two of the head men in charge of the Brotherhood were taken out by the Rival Sons MC when they were close to Houston. Both David and Antonio are already gone and the last head that needs to roll is Phoenix. Antonio and Phoenix were cousins and each of their fathers were high up in the ranks of the Brotherhood. Down the road, that will be something to be cleaned up. Their deaths will not go unnoticed.

The first bombs have been detonated and the houses are gone along with at least twenty of the gang members. We have them on the run. The other half of my brothers are waiting at the quarry. We’re going to push them into the trap. I hear the shooting before I arrive with Buzz and Gator behind me. The prospects are at the clubhouse, and I haven’t gotten any word that we have been hit there yet.

I ride in fast behind the last car. I park and dismount my bike because the people in front of us have nowhere to go. This lead-in road has no access to the lower quarry where the action is happening right now. These dumbasses should have known that. Four men jump out of the car. Gator takes the first out. I slide behind a rock to see where a target is hidden. I get closer to the men by sliding up the rocks and watching for movement. I see the flashy jacket Phoenix is always wearing and I put him in my sights. I shoot. I have no time to think because someone takes a shot at me as Phoenix’s body falls. I hear another shot and the man is taken out by Buzz. Only one to go. The man had gotten in the rocks higher up like I did. He has a shiny gun, not black like ours. It will be his death. He shoots a few shots off and when he raises to do it again, I see the flash of his gun. I take my shot and the guy falls from the rock he was on. I don’t want to make stupid moves, so I go back down the way I came and meet back up with Buzz and Gator.

“That was four.” Buzz states the obvious.

“The shots further in the quarry have stopped and we need to make sure all these men are dead. One of them was Phoenix but at least two of them were older men. That means they’re either higher up in the hierarchy of the Brotherhood or they’re hired guns. Either way, it may not be good for us later.” I give my brothers my thoughts. This dreadful feeling is still in my gut. My phone vibrates in my pocket. I take it out and read the text from Billie. “Fuck!” I yell. Buzz and Gator both look at me.

“Everything is still good with the club. Billie just text me and she’s talking to some men from the Rival Sons MC.
